I had the pleasure of visiting EMIR during the MYBA Yacht Charter Show, which took place in April 2025 in Sanremo. She was one of the first superyachts I chose to start my viewings with. Over the years of inspecting yachts, I have learned that super does not always mean super. Some yachts may be enormous and highly expensive, yet have no soul and do not feel welcoming. This was not the case with EMIR. From the very first step into her gorgeous saloon, you immediately understand that you are on board a very special yacht. This impression was only reinforced more and more with every room, cabin, and deck I discovered.

Magazine spread featuring a luxury yacht called "Emir" with images of lounging areas and a flyboarding person in the ocean. Blue and white decor.

Built in 2004 in Greece, EMIR is an 82.5-meter (270.8-foot) superyacht created in an era when yachts were designed for longevity and serious cruising. Her exterior lines are elegant and restrained, with proportions that feel calm and authoritative rather than flashy. She is a yacht that looks confident and comfortable from every angle.

It took me and my colleagues some time to walk around the yacht. I was enjoying the atmosphere and listening to our dedicated crew member, and I barely took notes, because all I was feeling was: I love this yacht and would be happy to recommend her to our clients. Still, these are the notes I eventually made:

  • From the very first steps on board, I had a feeling of absolute cleanliness and order.

  • The yacht felt exceptionally well cared for and immaculate, with generous use of mirrors that enhance light and space without ever feeling excessive.

  • The main outdoor dining area comfortably accommodates up to 22 guests, clearly showing her suitability for larger groups, yet the atmosphere remains refined, calm, and quietly luxurious.

  • While the guest cabins are relatively compact, the Master suite is in a completely different league and genuinely took my breath away — with a spacious bathroom and walk-in dressing room that feel closer to a private luxury residence than a charter yacht.

  • One of the standout features is the open-deck gym, rare and energizing, complemented by a beautiful upper-deck jacuzzi ideal for long, unhurried moments at sea.

  • I also loved the additional spaces such as the cinema room, beauty room, and generous salon areas, all supported by a professional Greek and international crew.

EMIR reveals herself as a yacht designed not just for charter, but for an elevated lifestyle on the water.

As a professional yacht charter broker, I don’t experience yachts only through brochures or specifications. I view them in person — during charter shows, private inspections, and real client charters — because stepping on board tells you everything no listing ever can. A yacht viewing allows me to feel the flow of the spaces, assess the atmosphere, observe the crew dynamic, and understand how the yacht truly lives at sea. I write about these yachts because I know how important trust is when choosing a charter from another country. What you read here is not marketing — it’s my personal, professional experience.

EMIR stayed with me because she reminded me that true luxury is not about being new — it’s about being right. She is proof that when a yacht is built with vision and maintained with respect, time becomes an asset rather than a limitation.

If this yacht resonated with you, I’d be happy to share more details, availability, and detailed rates. Feel free to reach out, and we can calmly explore whether she’s the right match for your next journey at sea.

Considering a superyacht charter like EMIR?

Mediterranean route inspiration maybe is just the right thing you need to think about right now. Yachts of this size are perfectly suited for classic Riviera and Italian itineraries, balancing long passages with relaxed coastal cruising.
