ABOUT: The Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a place where sheer cliffs meet pastel-hued villages, and every curve of the coastline feels like a painting come to life. Exploring this iconic region by yacht offers a unique and luxurious perspective — one that blends freedom, comfort, and unforgettable beauty. Imagine gliding from one seaside town to the next without the stress of summer crowds, traffic jams, or packed beaches. With your own private yacht, the sea becomes your road and the swim deck your personal beach — anytime, anywhere.

STAYING ON A YACHT IN AMALFI IS SO COMFORTABLE: The Amalfi Coast is undeniably breathtaking — but during the high season, the roads can be extremely crowded, and getting from one village to another by car can take hours. Add to that the steep walks to reach beaches or viewpoints, and suddenly your dreamy vacation becomes a little less relaxing. Chartering a yacht completely changes the game. It offers you mobility, freedom, and direct access to stunning coastal spots, hidden coves, and seaside restaurants — all without the stress of traffic or countless stairs. If you have the means, exploring Amalfi from the water is the most elegant and comfortable way to do it. Of course, you'd still need a car ride to visit some places or walk to some restaurants, but a yacht charter does make your life easier in Amalfi region, that's for sure.

SOMETHING ELSE TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE YOU PLAN AMALFI COAST YACHT CHARTER: I'd say it's important to consider a few logistical and practical details to make the most out of your experience. Here's what I usually share with my clients:

Amalfi Coast + Sardinia or Sicily? Possible, but it's not always the best combo

Some travelers dream of visiting both the Amalfi Coast and Northern Sardinia or even Sicily during the same charter, but here’s what you should know:

  • The distance between Northern Sardinia and Amalfi is significant — you’ll spend a lot of time cruising (and fuel) instead of enjoying stops along the way.

  • If you really want to combine them, plan for a minimum of 10–12 days.

  • For Sicily or Sardinia & Corsica, we recommend separate yacht itineraries to fully enjoy each region without rushing.

Fuel costs & relocation fees

When planning a custom route, especially long one-way trips or crossing large distances, remember:

  • Fuel is not included in the charter fee

  • Long relocations (for example, bringing the yacht from Sardinia or Sicily to Amalfi) will come with relocation fees.

  • In any case I will ask the captain to provide you an estimated fuel cost based on your itinerary before the charter.

Best embarkation points for Amalfi Coast Charters

To optimize your itinerary and fuel costs, consider these convenient starting points:

  • Naples – closest airport access and ideal for embarking.

  • Salerno – often less crowded, also well-located.

  • Castellammare di Stabia – popular among charter yachts.

  • Capri or Ischia – if you're already in the area before charter starts.

The right yacht for the right region

Not all yachts are available in all parts of Italy year-round. Availability may depend on:

  • Season (some yachts move between the Amalfi Coast and Sicily/Sardinia).

  • Yacht size (some larger yachts require bigger ports and actually have South of France as a home base which is far from Naples and a significant relocation fee will be added to the bill if we can't find the yacht based in South of Italy).

  • Your group size and preferences (family, adults only, children onboard).

KYC (Know Your Client) – A legal step before booking

Before your charter agreement can be finalized, you'll be asked to complete a KYC form – this is a legal requirement and part of the standard procedure across all reputable yacht charter companies and brokers.

KYC stands for Know Your Client, and it's used to:

  • Comply with anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorism financing regulations.

  • Confirm the identity of the client chartering the yacht.

  • Ensure the source of funds used for the charter is transparent and legitimate.

This process is mandatory for a lot of yachts and applies to charters, especially when working with yachts operating under MYBA (The Worldwide Yachting Association) standards. All documents are handled with strict confidentiality and in compliance with international regulations.
